Which yoga strap length should I buy?

Q:

This yoga strap comes in 6 ft. or 8 ft. length. How do I know which one to buy? Does it depend on your height? (I'm 5'4") Or does it depend more on the types of stretches and poses you're doing? I don't really care about the color, I was just curious on which length would be best for me.

Usually the taller you are the longer the strap. However this also depends on the type of posses your using the strap for. Most people will use 6 ft strap occasionally an instructor will request that you bring an 8 ft strap for curtain positions. I am 5'4 and the 6 ft strap works just fine.
