what type of UV light is bing emitted from this product? UVA? UVB? UVC? Exposure to UV can be carcinogenic. Has this product been tested in regards to its carcinogenic effect? Have there been long term studies done on it?
The Purelight UV Wand uses UV-C bandwidth and has had extensive testing performed by an independent lab; FITI Testing and Research Institute. UV Band Pass Filters block out hazardous wavelengths and onzone generation.
Because of the toxicity of mold we recommend contacting someone locally to inspect the mold and find out what strain it is. There can be horrible effects on your health due to mold and some mold is not easy to remove. The wand will kill certain strains of mold and each strain takes a different time.
Thank you for your question. This works with UV light, and there is no filter. The UV light kills pathogens, but if the surface already has visible mold, you would still want to clean it as needed.
