I am contemplating the idea of getting this for our dogs, but some reservations - is this fairly easy to maintain? and if I live in Vegas (which is direct sunlight all the time), will this ruin the process or the product?
Caution is advised for placing Doggie Dooley in direct sunlight in very hot climates. My speculation is that the lid can melt in direct sunlight. If you can place it someplace where its shaded by your fence or house it should be fine. Replacement lids are available.
I would love to use this for my cats but it would be impossible to not have litter on it. Is any type of litter acceptable? They currently use Swheat Scoop which is made from finely shredded wheat sheaths.
You could use this with that brand (Swheat Scoop) of litter or any brand of litter that is certified flushable in sewer or septic systems. Any non certified litter can not be used.
