I have a standard mat, but when I pull the drawstrings tight, there is plenty of slack left to hold a larger mat. I have had this bag for a while, and love it!

No the roll would be too thick to fit in the bags straps. However if you have a sling that fits both mats you could thread the strap from the sling through the straps of the bag to secure it.

The straps are long enough that you can put this over your shoulder but it doesn't have a singular long shoulder strap. I would say this bag is to feminine in person to work as a unisex gym bag.

The dimensions for this bag are 18"L x 8½"W x 13"H. So as long as your laptop is 18" x 13" or smaller it would fit.
